Business Development Director, ARTS & BUSINESS CYMRU

Role: The Business Development Director will take a lead role in growing and sustaining A&B Cymru’s relationship with the corporate sector. Working closely with the team, the Director will initiate and develop partnerships with business leaders and other key stakeholders, securing new income which will assist A&B Cymru to operate effectively. The role requires highly developed influencing skills, an instinctive approach to problem solving and a proven track record in income generation. The successful candidate will also be creative, dynamic, proactive and highly efficient, with the ability to inspire confidence and credibility at a senior level. The Director is based primarily in Cardiff. Regular travel and attendance at evening events are necessary for this position.

Responsibilities

• To promote A&B Cymru’s services and provide information and advice to all contacts;
• To develop and implement the Business Development strategy of A&B Cymru, in consultation with the Chief Executive;
• To account manage an agreed number of Business Members, working towards an annual target;
• To take a lead role in recruiting new Business Members, working towards an annual target;
• To take a lead role in recruiting event sponsors, working towards an annual target;
• To line manage the Business Development Manager, monitoring performance against targets, providing motivation and support;
• To manage the South & West Wales Business Development Panel;
• To represent and promote the work of A&B Cymru at regular networking events across South & West Wales;
• To co-manage the Professional Development Programmes.
• To support the production of A&B Cymru’s events programme, including the annual Awards;
• To maintain the highest professional standards of ethics and practices upheld by A&B Cymru;
• To carry out any other duties reasonably required by the Chief Executive.
