Role overview and context: This role is based within the UK Branch of NAM Europe (NAMEU) and is a member of the UK and Ireland Wholesale sales team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with a proven track record in business development in a similar asset management role, with strong knowledge of the UK wholesale market and established relationships in the South England region and UK wholesale channel.
All duties and responsibilities must be performed in line with NAM’s policies and procedures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To promote Nomura Asset Management’s full range of products through client activities, including one-to-one meetings
- Develop new business and relationships in the UK intermediary/DFM sector, predominantly in the South England regional UK Advisory/Wealth channels
- Collaborate with sales support, marketing, client portfolio managers and portfolio managers to ensure comprehensive and impactful coverage of the target market
- Enhance Nomura’s brand recognition by representing Nomura at relevant industry events and organizing investor events
- Achieve individually agreed sales targets and contribute to the team’s revenue targets
- Work with Client Service Team to cross-sell new products to existing clients
- Record activity in Salesforce CRM in a timely manner
- Contribute to weekly and monthly activity reports
Skills & Experience
- Strong investor network in the South of England (South West, South East, Midlands and East Anglia) and in the UK Wholesale channel
- Ability to meet specific sales targets, including team targets
- Strong investment knowledge on product and macro levels
- Team oriented, self-starter and lateral thinker
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
