About The Role
Come and join AT&R’s Leadership Team and take on a key role in defining and shaping the organisations strategy and business enabling capabilities.
The role is to lead the direction and travel of a Business Enabling strategy, so that business efficiency and performance is maximised; with overall accountability for the results of the AT&R teams (Business Operations and Organisation & People). Delivery of the AT&R strategy is essential, to drive, monitor and measure business performance, future strategy and transformation activities against the defined outcomes.
This is a new role; responsible for setting the Business Enabling strategy, creating and delivering the supporting road map delivery, and delivering strategic plans and transformation activities. You will ensure that best practice approaches, processes and frameworks are implemented and delivered across a matrix organisation, where both operational delivery and strategic growth objectives need to be achieved. This will require collaborative behaviours and interactions with the AT&R Heads of Service Delivery, Head of Growth and Technical Capability Director.
There will be a continuous improvement aspect to the role, where you will deliver efficiency and business performance improvements in areas such as collaboration, innovation and simplification.
This is a Leadership role, with Line Manager responsibility for the Head of Organisation and People and Head Business Operations.
What you will be doing
- Leads and can take a strategic view across ALL AT&R strategy elements, providing direction for the AT&R business.
- As part of a lead team, create, maintain and deliver the AT&R strategy, and develop it into a meaningful plan to ensure it is clearly articulated, understood and executed across the AT&R organization.
- Develop and deliver the Business Enabling strategy and develop into a meaningful road maps and plans to ensure it is clearly articulated, understood and executed across the teams.
- Aligns AT&R enabling services with AT&R, TC&I and wider business strategies to ensure they support both current and future business needs.
- Plans for and facilitates the prioritisation of Business Enabling capabilities to meet the strategic goals and maximise effectiveness and efficiency across the AT&R services.
- Outline and manage the identification and development of future capability needs, with a plan to secure implementation and execution via the AT&R Head of Organisation and People.
- Establish and facilitate consistent AT&R high performance culture and environment (hygiene factors) to ensure attraction, retention and motivation via the AT&R Head of Organisation and People.
- Set appropriate authorities, accountabilities and responsibilities for the Business Enabling areas of AT&R (Business Operations, Organsation & People) to ensure people know what they need to do.
- Invest in creating a respectful environment of mutual trust, care and accountability for the Business Enabling areas of AT&R, that demonstrates commitment to each other and leadership of AT&R.
- Is responsible for leading the Business Operations strategy to ensure compliance with, continuous improvement of and contributing to the business requirements for Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability, Security and Quality.
- Is responsible for leading the effective senior interaction with the TC&I Group Director for Business Operations and the HR Business Partner and the wider E&EI Business Operations and Organisation & People communities.
- Is responsible for leading the development of AT&R digital strategy and the effective execution of this via the Business Operations Manager. This will also include the interaction and connection to the wider TC&I and E&EI digital strategies.
- Is responsible for leading the ongoing compliance with the AT&R services under SSRO and its effective execution via the Business Operations Manager in conjunction with Finance and commercial.
Here’s What You’ll Need
- Masters degree (Level 7 or equivalent) in relevant business subject.
- Membership of a professional institution is desirable (Leadership).
- Experience of the management of complex capability requirements for teams and organisations.
- Experience of key business operations management aspects e.g. EHSSSQ.
- Experience of Complex business financial aspects and interactions with the Finance and Commercial teams inc. Knowledge of SSRO requirements if possible.
- This role will require security clearance at SC, therefore applicants should hold or be able to obtain security clearance in the UK.
