Formula E is seeking a Business Intelligence Director to join our mission. As the world’s fastest-growing sport, Formula E combines sport with innovation and sustainability. We host races globally, backed by leading manufacturers, and operate with a Net Zero Carbon certification from inception.

Our goal is to use the spectacle of sport to influence perceptions and accelerate the switch to electric mobility.

The Role

As the Business Intelligence Director, you will be a pivotal leader for Formula E’s strategic growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the C-Suite and senior leadership, providing data-driven counsel on major business decisions. You will oversee all research initiatives, transform complex data into clear, actionable insights, and lead a high-performing team to chart our course to 2030 and beyond.

Key deliverables:

• Strategic Growth Plan: Lead the creation of a long-term BI strategy that directly supports Formula E’s commercial growth objectives through 2030 and beyond.
• Comprehensive Research Oversight: Manage and execute global research initiatives, including relationships with third-party research suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Data-Driven Reporting and Analysis: Provide clear, impactful reports and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure accurate measurement of commercial and media performance, and sponsor effectiveness.

What we’re looking for

• Strategic & Commercial Expertise: Proven ability to connect deep, data-driven insights with high-level commercial strategy. Understanding of how data drives business growth, media rights, and key investment decisions.
• Technical Expert of Research & Measurement: Deep understanding of media evaluation, sponsorship valuation, and both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Extensive proven track record in leading global research initiatives with high-quality delivery.
• Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead a high-performing team and effectively communicate complex data to non-technical stakeholders. Passion for mentorship and team leadership.

This is a hybrid role and requires three days per week in our Hammersmith, London office.
