This role sits in our Public Sector Business Development team, focused on Central Government and Education across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new Business Development opportunities with UK Public Sector client accounts in excess of £5m per annum, selling complex digital solutions.
  • Articulate digital service concepts and position products and services against competitors.
  • Develop and manage pursuit plans to win multi-million-pound deals and meet quarterly and annual targets.
  • Understand technology delivery and agile methodologies to inform proposals and delivery approaches.
  • Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships, presenting and refining proposals to achieve win/win outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry partners to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop colleagues within the client group and wider Public Sector team.

Essential requirements

  • Hands-on experience leading new Business Development opportunities with UK Public Sector client accounts in excess of £5m per annum, selling complex digital solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital service concepts and market positioning against competitors.
  • Expertise in business development processes, deal economics, and constructing complex commercial offers.
  • Ability to create and lead pursuit plans to win multi-million-pound deals and deliver against targets.
  • Knowledge of technology delivery and agile methodologies; broad technology experience and awareness of trends.
  • Ability to communicate and influence credibly at all levels, including executive and C-level.
  • Strong networking skills and senior stakeholder relationship management.
  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines in line with business requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation skills in commercial and contract contexts, with experience in resolving escalations.
  • Commitment to developing people through mentoring and coaching.

Desirable

  • Experience working with global partners to build co-sell relationships and generate revenue.
  • Direct experience in central government, education, or regulatory contexts.
  • Delivery experience with engagement across client delivery teams.
  • Experience growing a market sector and developing new offerings.
