The Role

Working within our Central Operations and Innovation team, the successful postholder will be responsible for the delivery of large-scale transformation projects across the PureGym Group.

As a Central Operations Transformation Director, the postholder will enable continuous improvements across the business, including the 600+ Gym estate in the UK, Denmark and Switzerland, ensuring customer centricity is woven into the breadth of our product. This role will be key in delivering operational and cost efficiencies and excellent customer experience.

Our Central Operations and Innovation (CO&I) function is pivotal not only in managing day-to-day operations and costs but also in driving growth through innovation and evolution of our business model.

Responsibilities within this role include:

• Enable significant programmes across the PureGym Group to deliver an excellent experience to our 2m+ members, bringing emerging trends and technologies to enhance our existing ways of working
• Structure opportunities for operational improvement across 600+ gyms in UK, DK & CH to improve Unit Economic Margin and cost efficiency as we scale
• Establish data-driven ways of working across the ops team, ensuring utilisation of the right technology and systems, with a digital-first mentality
• Implement commercial and business development opportunities from effective and innovative ways of digital working
• Lead and deliver large-scale cross-functional transformation programmes working with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels
• Work with stakeholders across the business and external partners to overcome project hurdles and mitigate risks to ensure effective delivery of the business’s strategic objectives
• Provide leadership, recognition, and motivation to the wider Operations team to ensure business objectives are met
• Be a key member of our Senior Leadership group, recognized as a leader within the Central Operations & Innovation function
• Positively represent CO&I function internally and be an ambassador for PureGym externally

The Person

• The successful postholder will be a highly experienced Transformation Director, with a hands-on and collegiate approach, comfortable working with a wide variety of people at all levels; rolling their sleeves up when needed.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to effectively and autonomously execute large-scale projects
• Entrepreneurial mind-set and an appetite to work collaboratively across a broad range of functions and teams
• Self-starter who works dynamically and flexibly in a fast-paced environment, where goalposts may change
• Detail-driven and faces challenges with a problem-solving attitude
• Confident communicator who can adapt their style to engage a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong Project management skill set and experience running large-scale projects with a focus on detailed planning and communication and engagement across all stakeholders
• Background in operational or strategic transformation / consultancy
• Based within commuting distance to London office, with travel to gym sites and offices across the UK, DK & CH as needed
