Finance Director Location: Limehouse, London (E14) Salary: £65-70k + Benefits Contract: Full-time (part-time considered) | Permanent or interim option availableAbout the Organisation Our client is a unique and historic London-based charity operating at the intersection of hospitality, community, and retreat services. With a rich heritage dating back centuries, the organisation offers an inspiring environment that combines purpose-driven work with a commercial mindset, managing a diverse operation including accommodation, event spaces, and community initiatives.The Opportunity We are partnering with our client to recruit a Finance Director to lead and evolve their finance function. This is a key strategic role within the Senior Management Team, offering the opportunity to influence organisational direction while ensuring robust financial stewardship.You will oversee a c.£3m turnover operation, leading finance operations, driving performance insights, and supporting decision-making across the business.Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring strong financial controls and accurate reportingAct as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and senior stakeholdersDeliver timely and insightful management information, KPIs, and financial analysisOversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesManage month-end close (within 5 working days) and maintain balance sheet integrityEnsure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and governance requirements (including VAT, GDPR, and charity regulations)Lead audit processes and liaise with external auditorsOversee payroll, cash flow management, and financial operationsDrive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, and automation (including Sage Intacct)Support commercial decision-making, including pricing and performance analysis About You Fully qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent)Ideally experienced in a senior finance leadership role or someone looking to take the next step in their career as a Finance DirectorStrong technical and operational finance expertiseExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience driving process improvements and system enhancementsCommercially minded with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insight Desirable Experience Charity and/or hospitality sector experienceKnowledge of Sage Intacct or similar systemsExperience with hospitality booking systems (e.g., Rezlynx/Guestline)Audit and compliance experience Working Arrangements This is a predominantly on-site role due to the nature of the organisation's operations, though some flexibility for remote working is available. Part-time candidates will also be considered (Minimum of 3 days per week).Why Apply?
