OverviewCivil/Structural Associate Director-HybridJoin to apply for the Civil/Structural Associate Director-Hybrid role at Amentum.About the opportunity: Devonport Royal Dockyard is part of the largest naval base in Western Europe, and is the only site in the UK licensed to undertake submarine deep maintenance. Amentum has supported the site for over two decades, providing project, safety, engineering and technical services, and has been involved in the design and substantiation of a large proportion of the site’s existing facilities and marine structures. Today, we are a strategic supplier to the site, delivering value-adding support through long-term frameworks and working collaboratively to deliver a significant programme of infrastructure upgrades that underpin the UK’s strategic defence capability for decades to come. This role offers a strong career opportunity within our central systems Civil/Structural engineering team, with guidance and mentorship provided. Work arrangement: hybrid, with flexibility on working hours, patterns and locations to suit you and the business. Responsibilities

Inter-discipline project planning, delivery and financial performance. Provision of technical quality and excellence of project deliverables. Providing technical and professional guidance, support and development of junior engineers and technicians. Supporting business development activities including preparation of proposals. Developing good working relationships with clients and other company departments. Adherence and contribution to business and quality management systems. Operational and design safety, and developing a good safety culture.

What You’ll Need

Good all-round technical design expertise using British and international standards, and/or Eurocodes. Proven ability to manage projects and deliverables, including quality, budget, programme and resources. Good understanding of structural theory with proven problem solving ability. Good, accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or similar. Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer or working towards this where we can support.
