- To manage and lead the Professionals Team. Managing our existing relationships, as well as attracting new relationships and markets.
- To build and relationship manage a network of firms for introducer business, including contractual relationships.
- To manage and grow the existing Deposit relationship book and to support the bank’s overall liquidity strategy.
- To manage the professionals team across the UKto ensure a professional and client focused service is delivered to external clients and internal stakeholders.
- To evidence direct business origination personally and also manage the teams target, as well as generating wider opportunities for Private and Commercial Banking.
- Own and be fully responsible for the Professionals proposition for AL to ensure it continues to meet client needs and support ALs objectives.
- Provide leadership & coaching to the Professionals Team
- Ensure Process and controls are built and are in place across the professionals offering.
- Be the face of AL in the external market for Professionals via attending conference and other relevant marketing.
- Working with Marketing to shape/drive awareness, competitive advantage, and differentiation with the target market.
- Meet & exceed stretching new business goals, that are tracked and reported through CRM.
- To ensure your team operates within the required risk and stewardship framework
- Drive the team forward to achieve the banks “future state” objectives

Team Management

- Represent the banking population at a senior manager level internally and externally.
- Take overall responsibility for your team’s risk, stewardship, and regulatory performance. Promote a team risk culture
- Take overall responsibility for team’s financial objectives.
- Become a Trusted Advisor to our Professional clients and to generate new revenue from these relationships, whilst also reviewing the commercial effectiveness of the relationships and promoting other potential solutions.
- Maintain a high level of AL product and industry knowledge and share this across the Bank.
- Maximise and evidence a tangible contribution to new client acquisition across the footings, which is reported and tracked in CRM.
- Protect and grow the deposit contribution from the target market to support the Bank’s wider liquidity strategy of winning relationship deposits and make a positive contribution to our cost of deposits.
- Maintain a high level of segment and industry knowledge and share this within Team and across the Bank.
- Ongoing review and development of the business development strategy and target market as well as new sectors identified, with the support of the Growth enablement team.
- Satisfying all of the onboarding, KYC and DD requirements.Together with leading the negotiation of any agreements to protect the Bank from all applicable risks.
- Expand the size and quality of our Deposit book and client base.Review the client base on a regular basis to ensure the clients meet criteria and client strategies are in place across all.

Person Specification
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
- You will have a proven track record in Banking, business development and managing/negotiating new Professional relationships.
- You will understand and be a centre of excellence for understanding the regulations that our professional clients operate under.
- Significant Private or Commercial Banking experience in dealing with HNW individuals or high value commercial/corporate professional clients.
- Experience in dealing with a risk-based culture and maintenance of excellent stewardship
- Ability to lead your team and contribute where required to a wider Management Committee team
- Excellent Interpersonal skills (Networking, Negotiation, Presentation, Influencing)
- Listening to others and making informed decisions
- Developing tactical and strategic goals or resolving tactical or strategic issues impacting your team
- Co-ordination of multi tasks at both client, team, and wider strategic level
- Excellent Business Development skills
- Excellent Business Case writing skills
