What you'll be doing Are you ready to shape the future of contract and supplier management at the heart of UK Parliament? This is a unique opportunity to lead a growing and ambitious commercial function, supporting a £1bn annual spend and delivering high-value goods and services across the Parliamentary Estate, including the iconic Palace of Westminster. As Deputy Commercial Director for Contract and Supplier Relationship Management, you'll drive strategic transformation, lead a dedicated team, and champion best practice in contract and supplier management across both Houses. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Contract and Supplier Management (CSM) team, including direct line management of two Heads of Commercial, with significant financial and operational autonomy. Develop and implement Parliament-wide strategies for contract management and strategic supplier relationship management, ensuring best practice and value for money. Act as a senior stakeholder liaison, supporting contract managers, overseeing critical frameworks, and driving continuous improvement across commercial standards, tools, and processes. What we're looking for. CIPS Level 5 membership (or equivalent experience), with Level 6 (MCIPS) preferred. Strong expertise in contract and supplier relationship management, ideally within relevant commercial categories. Proven ability to lead business change and deliver value for money through effective contract and SRM strategies. Demonstrated success in managing high-performing teams and driving service improvements. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
