Job Description

Play a critical role within our fast-paced cross-platform advertising sales organization, with a focus on driving digital, Linear TV and Events sponsorship revenues from clients in the Middle East.

The Commercial Director will be responsible for building and leading commercial success for CNBC, in the Middle East region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive digital, Linear TV, Event sponsorship and C-Suite Membership sales to clients based in the Middle East.
  • Partner with SVP, International Sales to develop outstanding trading relationships with key senior stakeholders in the Middle East.
  • Understand customer KPI’s and look for opportunities to develop monetize-able solutions, including customizable cross-platform opportunities that meet client needs, and operationalize product offerings to reflect those KPI’s.
  • Keep abreast of the continually evolving digital and social media marketplace, customers, and competition in order to conceive and effectively execute a sales strategy that generates and informs product offerings and drives improved operations and financial results.
  • Work cross-functionally, activating key business units within Versant Media to ensure pipeline creation, revenue goal achievement and end customer success.
  • Develop winning brand and media strategies for growth.
  • Develop creative solutions for top corporates and government clients based on a deep understanding of their strategy and needs.
  • Act as a company values and brand ambassador within the business.

Qualifications

  • Sales and Leadership experience across the International Advertising Ecosystem – including cultural awareness and multi-lingual skills an asset.
  • A champion of customer-first cultures, where the needs of the customer inform product and the go-to-market, creating a virtuous cycle of customer growth and retention. Knowledge of the digital media / social media landscape, including both Programmatic and Direct advertising models.
  • A track record of operations and process implementation.
  • Data driven with a solid understanding of digital advertising performance metrics and digital measurement capabilities.
  • Proven experience in delivering against revenue and profitability goals across multiple products and offerings.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners and constituencies to execute programs in a unified effort using best practices.
  • Analytical / strategic thinker, creative problem solver, resourceful, able to initiate change and motivate innovation and creativity.
  • The ability to influence and manage stakeholders at all levels and work with the wider Global organization to achieve our goals.
