The British Women Pilots' Association (BWPA) encourages women to pursue careers in aviation, specialising in pilot careers. Women pilots remain an under-represented minority of approximately 6% in Britain with funding usually more difficult for women achieve. What difference will you make? The BWPA Communications Team is central to the workings of the BWPA and has already allowed the Association to grow by visibility. With the right Communications Director in place the Association can make greater impact than it already does an stride into the future. What will you be doing? The BWPA communicate through e-news (via Mailchimp), published gazettes, website and social media channels and may collaborate on external third-party media (Press - Aviation or general) from time to time. This year we are providing 36 scholarships to encourage future growth. We will be spending the next year following the progress of our scholarship winners and celebrating them and our Award winners while also arranging mentorship and social meetings for our members and reporting on their progress and achievements. The BWPA currently require a Communications Director who is happy to manage a small team of volunteers who update the website, social media, and events etc., run the media/events calendar in collaboration with events, scholarships, committee and other BWPA working groups and is happy to participate in getting media out in a timely manner. #J-18808-Ljbffr
