Overview

Community Investment Director at JTI, Putney, England, United Kingdom. This role leads JTI’s global Community Investment strategy, oversees the JTI Foundation, manages key community investment partners, and directs performance and impact of global activities. The position is based in Putney and is full-time.

Salary and benefits: Competitive salary (£100,000 – £115,000 per annum) plus a car allowance (£10,100 per annum), discretionary bonus (20%), flexible benefits, 25 days holiday (with buy/sell option), non-contributory pension, fully funded private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, and health screening. Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the implementation of a best-in-class global Community Investment strategy aligned with JTI’s business goals, the 4S model, and stakeholder needs; drive internal and external communication and develop tools and guidance for rollout across JTI markets worldwide
  • Serve as Managing Director of the JTI Foundation, setting strategy, funding allocations, ensuring compliance with Swiss charitable foundation requirements, and securing Board approvals
  • Oversee the Foundation’s partnerships, projects, communications, and finances; represent the Foundation externally and build strong networks
  • Lead design and management of central/HQ community investment programs (e.g., CIEM – Community Investment in Emerging Markets) in collaboration with regions, markets, and internal functions to advance business and operational objectives
  • Identify, allocate, and manage resources (budgets, consultants, service providers) to deliver global community investment strategies and programs
  • Act as a strategic advisor within the External Affairs Leadership Team, collaborating with JTI Swiss Affairs, JT and JTI Corporate Sustainability, Global Leaf, regional teams, and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration/Management, Law, International Relations, Political Science, or equivalent; MBA desirable
  • Minimum of 10 years’ work experience with leadership, strategy development, and execution in community investment or related areas
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills
  • Broad and deep knowledge of Community Investment competencies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence, coordinate, and mobilise teams
  • Fluent English; other languages desirable
