Overview Consultant Relations Director role at Allspring Global Investments. Allspring is a leading independent asset management firm offering a broad range of investment products and solutions. This role operates in a hybrid model with in-office presence required at least 3 days a week. Responsibilities
Elevate Allspring’s presence with UK investment consultants and manage key relationships to foster deeper engagement. Develop and implement the UK consultant strategy, securing new high-impact buy ratings and leveraging Allspring’s existing ratings footprint. Act as a strategic partner to the Global Consultant Relations team; potentially take lead coverage for global consultant relationships based on experience. Engage directly with UK-based field consultants; collaborate with the Head of International Consultant Relations and the Head of Institutional – UK, Ireland & Netherlands. Drive consultant-focused business initiatives across buy ratings, product innovation, sustainable investing, stewardship, and diversity, equity and inclusion. Lead the consultant channel strategy, including defined benefit de-risking, defined contribution solutions, and expanding into wealth management, endowments and foundations, and insurance. Partner with sales, portfolio managers, product specialists, client relations, senior management, operations, risk management, technology and support functions to manage service, sales and support for assigned consultants. Own the consultant RFP process with support from the RFP and London distribution teams. Provide feedback to investment teams to align Allspring’s solutions with consultants’ needs. Develop presentations/marketing materials in collaboration with internal marketing and compliance teams. Lead and coordinate consultant meetings and training sessions; prepare briefing documents and research with the consultant associate team. Collaborate with the Global Consultant Relations Team on global initiatives and support the Head of International Consultant Relations in business strategy. Plan and execute UK Institutional Marketing and Event strategy in partnership with the UK Institutional team. Mentor other team members.

Required Qualifications
Experience and proven success in working with investment consultants or equivalent large institutional asset owners. Proven track record with UK-focused consultants; ability to identify and influence decision-makers at consultants or UK institutional investors. Relationships with regional consultant offices preferred. Solutions-oriented mindset to understand consultant needs and leverage Allspring capabilities. Ability to hold consultative meetings and deliver solution-oriented proposals, including sustainable investing.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional investment management qualification or equivalent (e.g., CFA/FIA/CAIA/CIMA). Sustainability-related qualifications (e.g., CFA ESG Certificate or CFA Climate Certificate).
