Your Career

The role of Consulting Director in Unit 42 is a senior-level consulting position. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our threat-led and technology-driven cybersecurity consulting services by leading and directly overseeing a team of Consultants. This person will have experience in developing teams and working with sales and domain leaders.

The Consulting Director will work with a dedicated Regional Business Development Manager (BDM) and Customer Success Manager (CSM) to deliver pitches, prepare proposals to win new business, and manage client relationships.

The individual serves as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering technical consulting services to a high standard, thriving in a fast-paced team environment, and advocating for innovative approaches to achieve the best outcomes for cross-sector clients.

Your Impact

  • Oversee the delivery of proactive consulting services, ensuring consistency, quality and top-tier customer service
  • Provide hands-on, expert-level proactive Security Operations Center (SOC) assessment and transformation services to clients and present findings to CxO and/or Board members
  • Collaborate with the BDM and CSM to perform pipeline generation activities
  • Lead scoping and services overview conversations with clients for prospective engagements, articulating approaches and methodologies to audiences ranging from highly technical to executive
  • Partner with Unit 42 executive team and service line leaders to develop and execute strategy for proactive services
  • Drive innovation in Unit 42’s proactive offerings by leading and managing the consulting team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new capabilities to market
  • Manage team productivity through attainment of utilization targets
  • Collaborate with peers and leaders across Unit 42 to drive operational and practice development goals
  • Recruit and onboard world-class talent to support growth goals
  • Support the professional growth and development of consultants through training and technical enablement
  • Foster a culture that attracts and retains smart, kind team members dedicated to execution with excellence
  • Identify and execute strategies for service development, enablement, and product adoption
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clientele to raise awareness of Unit 42’s capabilities and provide on-demand expertise
  • Amplify Unit 42’s presence through thought leadership, including speaking engagements, articles, whitepapers, and media exposure

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience delivering cybersecurity consulting services, including at least 4 of the following for global enterprise customers
    • Security operations (highly preferred for this position)
    • Application security (including AI)
    • Cloud security
    • Red & purple teaming
    • Cybersecurity risk assessments
    • Cybersecurity strategy & transformations
    • Cyber crisis management
    • Zero Trust
  • Experience as a senior-level team leader including overseeing principal, senior, and mid-level analyst/consultant teams
  • Able to split time across commercial support, client delivery, team leadership, mentoring, and technical upkeep
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with experience communicating at CxO/Board level
  • Client services mindset and exceptional client management skills
  • Public speaking, writing ability including technical reports, business communications, and thought leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience
  • Professional industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and other leading certifications relevant to our services
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, compliance regulations, and industry standards related to privacy, security, and compliance
