Overview

To lead and develop a team of Managers to provide exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Managers to deliver high-quality service across contracts in the business area.
  • Manage client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Review business performance and ensure delivery of key financial targets in line with management and performance reporting. Demonstrate commercial value to your team and leadership in line with Compass vision, values and strategy.
  • Promote a safety culture and ensure team compliance with Health & Safety procedures, maintaining a safe environment for all users of the premises.
  • Develop strategic client relationships and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Deliver profit for the sub sector by leading the team to achieve financial targets.
  • Review unit and contract performance, identify improvements, and ensure contract compliance to exceed client expectations.
  • Collaborate with the sector marketing team to analyse market insights and align site-level offers with customer needs for consistency and innovation.
  • Support development and evolution of sub sector strategy and embed activities to maximise performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Gather and act on feedback from site level to drive continuous improvement, grow footfall and sales at each unit.
  • Coordinate with central functions to enhance service offers and drive service initiatives.
  • Review and implement client satisfaction surveys and ensure centrally driven service initiatives are supported and implemented.
  • Ensure fit-for-purpose menus with up-to-date costings and specifications are adhered to.
  • Support Compass Foodbuy in strategic sourcing and supplier compliance with contractual requirements; ensure team complies with purchasing policies and maximises PI opportunities through promotional activity.
  • Maintain high quality of food offers and service, rectifying deviations promptly and aligning team focus with standards.
  • Build and develop a strong team, recruit effectively, develop skills, enable progression, and sustain a healthy succession pipeline.
  • Foster collaboration, share best practices, and coordinate activities across sectors and the wider business.
  • Review labour structures and ratios, and develop plans from front-line to leadership levels to prioritise people.
  • Manage the team in line with company procedures, including performance management, labour management, and HR processes as appropriate.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in leading, managing and developing successful teams across multiple sites
  • Commercially astute, disciplined, organised, with experience in budgeting, meeting financial targets, managing heavy workloads and tight deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience within the industry
  • Flexible in approach and mindset
