Our Law School sits in the heart of Leeds, with strong links to employers and partners to help graduates become ready for work, ready for life and ready to seize opportunities.This role provides strategic and operational leadership for a suite of taught postgraduate courses, ensuring an outstanding student experience and the highest academic standards.Key responsibilitiesProviding course direction, organisation, and management to deliver excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment.Leading curriculum design and development, aligned with the needs of students and the profession.Monitoring and enhancing course performance through quality assurance processes, with focus on recruitment, progression, achievement, student satisfaction, and graduate employability.Acting as a key liaison with professional, statutory, and regulatory bodies where appropriate.Supporting and guiding students through effective academic advice and pastoral support.RequirementsHold an academic qualification in Law (LLB or GDL) and a doctorate in a relevant subject.Fellows of the Higher Education Academy (or equivalent).Significant experience of course or programme leadership, teaching excellence, and doctoral supervision.Strong research and publication record and the ability to contribute to REF 2029.Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, and organisational skills.Closing dateClosing date Tuesday 21st October 2025 (2359)Additional informationWith 38 days’ annual leave, generous pension contributions, and a supportive, collegial environment, this role offers the chance to contribute to the continued success and growth of Leeds Law School.
