The Position


Freuds Group is seeking a Creative Executive Director with experience in communications across paid, earned and owned media. We are dedicated to using the power of communications to influence behaviour and drive positive change. This role is pivotal in shaping the agency’s creative direction, ensuring our work pushes boundaries, delivers culturally relevant campaigns and measurable impact for our clients. You’ll inspire teams, challenge norms, and deliver work that’s creatively groundbreaking.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative vision across all client accounts and Group initiatives to help tell their stories, manage reputations, create impact and shape culture
  • Champion innovation, new technologies and tools to ensure creative excellence and craft in idea generation and pitching
  • Collaborate, Inspire, mentor, and manage a team of creatives to develop their craft as well as upskill and drive creative confidence across the agency
  • Work alongside our strategic department to ensure we deliver creatives that are imbedded in strategic thinking with measurable impact
  • Work with our group companies and stakeholders to help create campaigns and initiatives to help us become a catalyst for positive change
  • The gravitas, expertise and ability to represent Freuds at industry events, awards, and thought leadership forums

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in a senior creative leadership role within a top-tier agency or brand. We are open to exploring appropriate experience based on demonstrable and relevant output
  • Experience in creating marketing campaigns and creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline and print..
  • Understanding of the earned media landscape and what is required to create and drive earned buzz
  • Ability to deliver for a broad range of commercial and third sector clients including consumer, government, corporate, health, finance, culture, arts
  • Thrive in a fast moving and ever evolving environment
  • Proven track record of delivering award-winning, culturally relevant campaigns
  • Thrive in making the unthinkable impossible and demonstrate ongoing intellectual curiosity Exceptional storytelling, conceptual thinking, and brand-building skills.
