What You Will Be Doing
We are seeking to grow our Customer Transformation consulting practice by hiring a dynamic Customer Development & Commercial Strategy Director. The individual must have a sound understanding of Marketing Strategy and Activation, with specific experience in Customer Development & Commercial Strategy and a proven ability to shape, sell and deliver innovative marketing-related programmes of work.
- Degree educated or equivalent.
- 15+ years’ experience, preferably in an agency or consultancy environment.
- Experience working as part of/leading a Marketing function or Marketing Consulting team, focused on creating customer-centric growth strategies, driving commercial transformation, and go-to-market strategies and optimisation.
- Strong understanding of customer and business development levers, including pricing, trade spend, channel strategy, and digital enablement.
- Experience driving digital transformation in areas such as building marketing strategies, designing future-fit marketing operations, and activating content, data & technology to deliver growth.
- Ability to translate business objectives into Marketing capabilities and map those capabilities to solutions.
- Proven track record of selling multifaceted programmes of work across Marketing Strategy, Marketing Technology and Marketing Operations.
- Ability to analyse both quantitative data and customer insights to build strategic recommendations.
An Overview Of The Role
This blended role spans customer, commercial and marketing strategy. You will jointly be responsible for delivering client engagements, growing our business and developing the team.
- For our clients: design and implement customer-centric growth strategies that align with business objectives and market dynamics.
- Lead, manage and deliver on multiple marketing/sector related projects.
- Collaborate with senior leaders across frog, Capgemini Invent and wider Capgemini, as well as with external partners and vendors to create and implement cutting edge solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within client organisations to deliver integrated solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
- To grow our business: lead multiple concurrent marketing bids; shape commercial propositions and proposals including scope, budget and resources; manage client expectations and satisfaction.
- Drive business development efforts, including proposal development, client pitches, and account growth.
- To develop our team: mentor and develop consultants, contribute to a high-performance team culture; stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Experience in Consumer Products, Retail, Utilities, Financial Services is a plus.

Location and Flexibility
Capgemini Invent offices in London, Manchester or Glasgow. Fully flexible in terms of assignment location with potential periods away from home.
