Purpose Of The Role
To lead the development of the firm’s data and AI capabilities ensuring data-driven decision-making, AI adoption and scalable innovation. This role will shape the advanced analytics, machine learning and automation into the core business functions – enhancing performance, uncovering new opportunities and fostering a culture of data literacy and trust across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop roadmap for good data architecture, analytics and responsible AI adoption
- Assist in translating business goals into actionable data and AI initiatives
- Governance and Compliance
- Create data governance frameworks and policies
- Ensure AI projects comply with regulatory standards, ethical standards and risk controls in accordance with the firm’s policies
- Innovation and Delivery
- Work with various data teams to provide consistent data delivery
- Drive the adoption of AI powered data tools to improve efficiency across the firm’s service lines
- Innovate data visualisation through interactive dashboards and data metrics that are user-specific
- Data Ecosystem Management
- Architect and optimise data platforms, including on-prem, hybrid and cloud environments
- Champion data quality, integration and security across all systems
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Technology senior leadership, Ops board, product owners and subject matter experts to identify opportunities
- Team Leadership
- Grow and mentor a high performing data and AI function with diverse specialisms
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation and data literacy across the firm
Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience in senior data leadership role
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and bridge the business/IT worlds
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Technical data and AI knowledge/experience in sharing and delivering data products
- Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Expertise in data governance, data quality and data protection regulations
- Proficiency in data analytics tools, technologies and capabilities
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Having professional practice experience desired
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Skilled in Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, API, MLOps, data engineering
- Experience with data lakes, warehouses and supporting tools in cloud technology like Azure, AWS
- Understanding of Devops & CI/CD
- Understanding of GDPR and data protection regulations
- Understanding of data analytics platforms like Alteryx
- Ability to use Power BI and other visualization tools
