ROLE SUMMARY:

The Data Trust Product & Customer Strategy is a pivotal senior leadership role within LSEG's Data & Analytics division, driving business impact by spearheading the development and delivery of customer centric catalogue and metadata solutions! This role is central to LSEG's strategic response to intensifying global demand for data-driven value creation, enabling advanced AI use-cases and maintaining a competitive edge in a dynamic, fast-evolving market. Reporting to D&A leadership and aligned with mandates from the LSEG Executive Committee (EXCo) and Board, this role is entrusted with shaping and delivering a bold vision for innovative metadata and Data Trust solutions that empower both internal teams and LSEG's global customer base. Collaborating seamlessly with Product, Group Marketing, Engineering, Sales & Account Management, and the LSEG-Microsoft Partnership, the role aligns cross-functional efforts to deliver cohesive, market-leading offerings. This role bridges strategic vision with deep expertise in data governance, ensuring solutions meet both immediate customer demands and long-term business objectives. With a mandate to engage external industry bodies and customers, the role amplifies LSEG's thought leadership and brand equity, driving demand for its solutions in a competitive landscape.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

The successful candidate will be expected to be responsible and accountable for:

Design and implement a data trust strategy that integrates metadata management, data cataloguing and AI enablement under a singular approach aligning with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams (e.g., Sales, compliance, engineering, business units) and external partners (e.g., regulators, customers, industry bodies) to foster strong networks

• Lead customer outreach and communication to ensure Data Trust solutions are customer-first and generating business value for both internal and external partners

• Partner with workstream sponsors/collaborators to define project objectives, achievements and success criteria and develops status reports to update ExCo and Board level on strategic project goals

• Lead the development of project artifacts, integrated project plans, resource and contingency plans, ensuring they are scoped and documented and that risk management processes are in place

• Proactively manage issues and delays, evaluating trade-offs between project size, complexity, cost, risk

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Essential

• Deep knowledge of data governance frameworks, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, DORA, Data Sovereignty), and ethical data practices

• Proven ability to develop and deliver strategies that align with business objectives and expectations with a background in consulting

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the shown ability to work effectively with all organisational levels and present sophisticated ideas in a streamlined manner to multiple audiences

• Excellent documentation skills with the ability to create high quality ExCo and Board Level materials under short timeframes

• Strong relationship-building skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders and external partners

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving cultural change in large organizations

• Expert knowledge of financial management, risk, and project management methodologies

• Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, technology) or with consumer-facing organizations

• Experience presenting at industry conferences or customer events on data governance and/or regulatory topics

Preferred

• Global experience - working successfully with teams in multiple locations simultaneously

• Understanding of Risk & Controls, Operational Resilience, regulatory landscape and industry trends

• Familiarity with data technologies (e.g., data lakes, cloud platforms, AI/ML governance) and technical know-how to bridge business and technical discussions

• Experience and knowledge of large scale, global, change programmes and portfolio management

• Experience in large tier 1/2 investment banking or financial services organisations
