Data Privacy Director Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office per week) Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 + Pension + Private Health Insurance + 26 Days Holiday + Remote Working Options
About the Client Our client is a specialist Data Privacy Consulting Firm supporting organisations across sectors to meet complex privacy, data protection, and compliance challenges. They are seeking an experienced Data Privacy Director to lead client engagements, shape strategic initiatives, and drive business growth.
The Role As Data Privacy Director , you will lead multiple consulting engagements, advising clients on privacy compliance, governance, and regulatory strategy. You will also play a key role in expanding the firm’s consulting portfolio and nurturing long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end data privacy and protection consulting engagements. Advise senior stakeholders on UK and international data protection regulations (including UK GDPR, DPA 2018, and PECR). Develop and implement privacy frameworks, risk assessments, and compliance strategies. Manage and mentor consulting teams, ensuring delivery excellence. Identify and lead new business development opportunities, including client pitches and proposals. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service offerings and market positioning.
About You Strong background in data privacy consulting , ideally from a professional services or advisory environment. In-depth understanding of UK and EU data protection laws and privacy best practices. Proven experience leading client engagements and managing delivery teams. Demonstrated success in business development or account growth. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Professional privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar) preferred.
