As a Data Privacy Executive Director within the Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) team, you will be part of a group dedicated to creating business impact through the governance and implementation of privacy requirements. Job Responsibilities

  • Execute the 1st Line of Defense privacy operating model that adheres to firmwide requirements and applicable law. 
  • Lead and support programs to enhance the CIB’s privacy program.
  • Advise on privacy requirements for new initiatives.
  • Ensure effective execution of privacy and data protection requirements, inclusive of privacy risk assessments, and management of procedures.
  • Actively partner with the business and privacy teams to deliver required results.
  • Engage in the appropriate committees and forums to provide transparency and collaborate with stakeholders on delivery of privacy initiatives.
  • Assist the business with the design and execution of controls to address privacy business requirements and mitigate risks.
  • Support the business preparing for privacy related exams, compliance tests and audits.
  • Provide transparency through governance, reporting and metrics that support the privacy framework.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals in a way that promotes a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and supports their professional goals
  • Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Experience building and managing privacy programs in regulated financial institutions
  • Expertise in global privacy laws including GDPR.
  • Experience in privacy program implementation and advising on privacy requirements. 
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing with varied stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in influencing and implementing change in complex environments.
  • Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in process and product design decisions with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strategic thinker that can anticipate and resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders as well as technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional presentation and influencing skills. 
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Experience within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Privacy certifications such as CIPP.
