About the Role

Luminate Education Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Deputy Director of Teaching, Learning and Assessment to join our outstanding Quality of Education Directorate. 

In this role, you will take a strategic and professional lead on all aspects of the Teaching, Learning and Assessment Strategy across the group, including digital innovation. 

We are looking for a candidate who will provide visionary and creative leadership, enabling high expectations and aspirations for our students and teachers.

What You Will Do

  • You will lead and manage teaching, learning, assessment and digital innovation to drive continuous improvement and raise learner outcomes. 
  • You will promote high standards through professional development, digital skills advancement, and innovative practice, supporting both experienced staff and early career teachers. 
  • You will provide strategic and operational leadership of TLA and the Digital Strategy, ensuring inspection readiness, effective CPD, and staff wellbeing. 
  • The role also involves acting as an ambassador for TLA and digital skills, collaborating across departments, contributing to recruitment and induction, and representing the college internally and externally.
  • About You

  • You will have a proven ability to lead and motivate staff, raising standards through a balance of vision, support, and professional challenge. 
  • This role requires an individual who can actively develop innovative workstreams, champion the personalisation of the curriculum, and act as a highly visible, strategic ambassador for outstanding practice both internally and externally. 
  • Experience with the Ofsted Further Education and Skills Inspection Toolkit and a commitment to embedding practices that support staff wellbeing are essential.
