A Redbridge-based secondary school is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Deputy Head of School (Curriculum & Teaching) to help lead a thriving 12–19 alternative provision. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven school leader to make a lasting impact on teaching and learning across a forward-thinking, inclusive setting.
You’ll play a pivotal role in leading curriculum intent and implementation, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring every young person achieves their full potential. Working closely with the Head of School and Trust leaders, you’ll shape strategic priorities, champion best practice, and ensure high-quality provision across all key stages.
Key responsibilities:

Lead curriculum design and quality assurance to secure excellent outcomes.

Support and deputise for the Head of School, contributing to strategic planning and improvement.

Ensure effective teaching, learning and assessment across all departments.

Drive collaboration, innovation and professional development for staff.

Embed a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and high expectations for all learners.
About you: You’re an exceptional leader with a strong track record in secondary teaching and learning. You bring vision, creativity, and a relentless focus on student success. You’ll have experience in mainstream or alternative provision leadership and the ability to motivate and inspire staff teams.
