Deputy Publicity Director (12-month-FTC)Join the team at Transworld, a publisher of great storytelling, as a Deputy Publicity Director. This role leads publicity campaigns for key titles, works closely with the Divisional PR Director, and deputises for the Publicity Director as needed.About the team Transworld publishes the UK's best and most-loved fiction and non-fiction, with a focus on lifestyle publishing growth. The team is looking for someone passionate about non-fiction and leading brand fiction campaigns to join them on this journey.The role involves leading launch campaigns for high-level titles, managing relationships with key authors, and identifying consumer media targets to generate word-of-mouth. The successful candidate will also have strategic input to group projects and broader divisional activity, with responsibility for direct reports.Key Responsibilities:Leading launch campaigns for high-level titles and managing relationships with key authorsRaising the level of campaigns across the listIdentifying key consumer media targets to generate word-of-mouthMaintaining relationships with key journalists and media influencersCampaign analysis and author/agent careDeveloping relationships with external partners and looking after year-round brand relationshipsTeam:Deputising for the Divisional PR DirectorManaging and leading the PR centre of excellence, including development of direct reportsMentoring and developing publicity talent across the teamRegular management catch-ups with direct reports and ensuring access to training and supportDivision:Reading and providing input on acquisitionsWorking with Group departments and collaborating with PRH US where relevantSharing resources across teams and ensuring collaboration within the wider comms teamCommunicating effectively with all departments and representing the department at meetingsWhat you'll bring:Handling confidential projects with discretionLeadership skills and a team playerPrevious management experience desirable but not requiredProven track record delivering high-profile campaignsExperience working with challenging clients and strong influencer skillsEstablished media relationships and excellent interpersonal communication skillsBehaviours Required:Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of peopleA strong team player with interpersonal sensitivityA creative individual who isn't afraid to think outside the boxA passionate and engaging individual who can motivate othersApplication instructions: Please apply with your CV and cover letter outlining why you are the right candidate for the role by 11:59 pm on 17th September 2025.Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 dependent on skills and experience, plus bonus and benefits.
