SRVC is a London-based womenswear brand defined by strong silhouettes, directional design, and a balance of innovation with wearability. The brand has established an international presence and continues to grow across key global markets. We are seeking a Design Director / Head of Design to take a central role in driving the development of our collections and leading the design team.

Role Overview

The Design Director / Head of Design will oversee the entire design process, from research and concept development through to final collections. This role requires someone with deep fashion knowledge, strong industry awareness, and an instinctive understanding of SRVC’s identity and aesthetic. The successful candidate will be able to translate cultural and creative references into distinctive pieces that resonate with buyers, press, and customers. They will lead and mentor the design team, ensure the brand identity is expressed consistently across collections, and work closely with production, sales, and marketing to deliver collections that are both creatively strong and commercially successful.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and development of all seasonal collections.
• Lead and mentor the design team, ensuring output is innovative, relevant, and delivered to deadlines.
• Direct research into fabrics, silhouettes, techniques, and references to inform collections.
• Guide sketching, fittings, and development of key pieces through to final samples.
• Work closely with product development, production, and suppliers to ensure quality and design integrity are maintained.
• Ensure collections are creatively distinctive while appealing commercially to buyers and aligning with showroom requirements.
• Manage design timelines to align with the critical path for showroom, sales, and production deadlines.
• Stay connected to the wider fashion landscape, including cultural movements and competitor activity.
• Represent SRVC within the industry and through networks that strengthen the brand’s positioning.

Key Skills & Experience

• 8–10+ years of womenswear design experience, with proven leadership in a senior role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating innovative, wearable design and successful collection development.
• Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and development processes. Strong leadership and ability to build and inspire a team.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working to deadlines across seasonal calendars.
• Commercial awareness and experience in developing collections that perform with buyers and within showroom environments.
• Strong industry presence and ability to maintain valuable professional relationships.
• A natural affinity with SRVC’s style and brand identity, with the ability to evolve it while keeping its core aesthetic intact.
