Overview
Macdonald & Company are partnering with the Duchy of Cornwall to recruit key hires for its Development Team. The Duchy’s approach to land, property and community building is rooted in sustainability and long-term stewardship. A new strategy, under the leadership of HRH The Duke of Cornwall, aims to deliver positive outcomes for community, nature and climate through its development activity and retained Estate. The Development Director will join the Senior Leadership team to shape the forward strategy and lead all current and future development projects in London and the South East, including a 300-home development adjacent to the Oval Cricket Ground and a new 2,500-home mixed-use community in South East Faversham.
The Development Director will be supported by a Project Director who will lead on project delivery, and existing external development partners. Both the Development Director and Project Director will undertake a client function where the Duchy intends to continue working with trusted development partners. They will also be required to engage in direct development management and project management activities where projects require it.
Responsibilities
- Lead current and future development projects in London and the South East; shape forward strategy.
- Support project delivery with the Project Director and external development partners.
- Undertake client function while also delivering direct development management and project management as needed.
- See projects through from inception to completion.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable UK regeneration experience.
