We are delighted to have been retained by a well-capitalised international investor and developer focused on creating best-in-class residential schemes in London and across the UK. With a significant fund already deployed and a further £300–400m currently being raised, the business is scaling rapidly, acquiring 4–5 large-scale assets annually with a desire to expand into Europe. The Role
They are seeking to appoint a Development Director to join their lean but ambitious London team. This is a pivotal role in leading the delivery of some of their most exciting and challenging projects.
Every day will be different: from running feasibility and underwriting for new acquisitions, steering schemes through complex planning processes, overseeing procurement to assemble best-in-class consultant and contractor teams, to driving design and delivery all the way through to completion and handover.
You will also play a critical part in shaping strategy, governance, and investor reporting, working closely with the UK Head of Development.

What do you need to bring?
A proven track record in delivering large-scale residential and/or Build-to-Rent schemes in the UK. Demonstrable end-to-end experience from acquisition and planning through to handover and completion. Strong commercial, legal, and construction knowledge (cashflows, JCT contracts, procurement, forward funding). Highly numerical with strong financial acumen and financial modelling skills, able to interrogate and build robust cashflows and investment appraisals. Ability to identify and diffuse risks early, bringing proactive solutions to senior stakeholders and ExCo. High energy, adaptable, and entrepreneurial, comfortable working in a lean team where everyone is hands-on. Excellent stakeholder management skills with investors, consultants, and contractors alike.

Salary: £110,000–£120,000 (DOE) + bonus
