Job Description
Main duties of role: You will develop digital strategy solutions to brand and design challenges as well as focusing on opportunities to embed digital and technology-led thinking and processes. Based on experience, newly uncovered research, or through collaboration and co-creation, you will be responsible for developing new creative approaches to the application of technology and its potential to enhance the brand experience and drive innovation into our processes and solutions. You will synthesize key inputs (client briefs, research, background materials, analytics, etc.) to develop strategic solutions concisely and articulately.
This role is to focus and guide the integration of physical and digital brand-building across the entire customer journey. From initial brand strategy and identity development through to the brand experience touchpoints. It will require a very strong strategic thinker who enjoys the challenge of creating simple solutions to complex challenges and has a strong understanding of the opportunities that technology provides, both within the brand experience and across the agency operating model.
- Data literate and a technology enthusiast: you have an active interest in staying up-to-date on the latest technology trends and what this might mean for business use
- An agile thinker - with the ability to think both clearly and quickly
- You will enjoy writing strategic briefs and presentations and be a skilled verbal and visual communicator.
- You will enjoy the creative process and champion creative ideas, making sure they are on brand and deliverable in the client context
- You need to build relationships with internal stakeholders and clients and be confident about leading conversations and making things happen
- Experience of working on global or pan-market brands and have a strong interest and the desire to immerse yourself strategically in other cultures.
- Confident discussing business issues and understands commercial imperatives
- An interest in or experience working with FMCG clients would also be advantageous.
We are looking for a strategic leader who is capable of empowering cross-functional teams to develop inspiring and scalable technology innovations and experience strategies for clients.
The ideal background for this candidate will be a proven working history & deep knowledge in technology driven customer-journey innovation and experience design, with a strong business and operational backbone in how both B2B and B2C brands work, and psychological insight into how humans behave across digital brand ecosystems.
This role will involve managing design-thinking driven deliverables and workshops with diverse teams of client stakeholders (including C-suite) and internal and external contributors to co-create strategies that utilise technological innovations to increase customer engagement and improve customer experience – and in the end, the client’s bottom line.
Key digital responsibilities include:
- Develop comprehensive digital brand strategies that include messaging, content strategy, social media strategy, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and paid media
- Collaborate with creative and design teams to ensure digital brand strategies are delivered consistently across all channels and platforms
- Create measurement frameworks and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of digital brand strategies and make data-driven recommendations for optimization
- Actively experiment with emerging technologies and take the lead on developing new products around these to solve client challenges or improve existing services/products
Key project responsibilities include:
- Interpret briefs and client’s requirements so the wider team (including at times third-party development agencies) are positioned for success
- Connecting the dots between project knowledge, briefs, broader project context and the client’s strategic objectives to provide a full picture of critical project dynamics
