About The Position

Quotient is seeking an experienced Director, Alliance Management to play a vital role in the company’s efforts to support our external alliances. The candidate will be responsible for providing strong leadership, organization, risk identification, and expertise to support cross-functional teams to execute on program deliverables required to meet the goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality program management to support our portfolio of partnerships
  • Working closely with team leads to plan and drive team meetings, information flow and communication, identification, discussion and mitigation of opportunities and risks to program objectives, timelines and budget.
  • Possessing a comprehensive understanding of the Target Discovery, Target Validation, and Drug Discovery, this individual will support program teams’ key scientific questions, strategy and objectives into optimal cross-functional plans, timelines and budgets.
  • Proactively identify, track, actively help mitigate and appropriately communicate program risks.
  • Develop acceleration opportunities for various milestones, risk/benefit assessments, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Effectively and proactively form strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders at Quotient and within its partners; Acting as an effective ambassador and steward of critical relationships
  • Ensure all decisions made on the program are assessed as to their impact.
  • Work closely with Finance and project management teams to establish program related budgets and resourcing plans. Is accountable to monitor plans and ensure programs have the required resources and budget.
  • Ensure efficient and effective communications of program related information to all levels of the organization.

  • Partners with functional leads to align and empower teams, ensuring clarity of roles, goals, and accountability across a matrixed structure.
  • Serves as a strategic thought partner to internal leadership and external collaborators, contributing to portfolio prioritization, program direction, and alliance strategy.
  • Brings a strategic lens to program planning, helping to shape long-term goals, investment decisions, and scientific direction in collaboration with senior stakeholders

Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree or higher in a scientific discipline, ideally life sciences; PhD is preferred
  • 10+ years relevant program or alliance management experience in biotech drug discovery and development, as well as a comprehensive understanding of drug discovery
  • PM experience in early research is preferred
  • Experience managing partnered programs
  • Scientific curiosity and passion for discovering new, innovative medicines.
  • Proven track record in driving successful, collaborative drug discovery teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with time management/tracking, using timeline management programs (Smartsheet, ThinkCell, MS Project, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency and creativity and focus on deliverables.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic, able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Continuously learns and adapts quickly to new information
