ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting into the Cloud and Productivity Engineering Organisation, this role will own and deliver the London Stock Exchange Group’s public cloud & developer architecture.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Drive the acceleration, adoption and migration of applications to the public cloud
  • Own the technical / architectural integrity and strategic roadmap of the Cloud Networking
  • Retire and or decommission a number of the data centres across the globe to a cloud hosted environment
  • Work with the Group CISO and the broader IT security teams to improve security controls
  • Leverages emerging & innovative technologies in Cloud and development
  • Work with chapters to define cloud and developer service strategy
  • Act as a Cloud evangelist, helping leaders understand the benefits, challenges and implications of adopting cloud
  • Build relationships & collaborate across the Engineering community
  • Build relationships and collaborate with the cloud platform 'customers' and communicate with senior stakeholders up to C Level

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Proven deep technical background working with related infrastructure technologies
  • Experience with the following technology areas
    • SDLC – Continuous Integration & Delivery, Application Security, Quality Assurance
    • Platforms – Istio, Serverless, Kubernetes
    • Processes - Agile, Lean, Product Development
    • Culture - DevSecOps, Continuous Change
    • Software engineering with exposure to event high performance computing, event driven, big data analytics, machine learning
  • Ability to effect technological and cultural change
  • Team player with a proven track record in delivering successful business outcomes
  • Excellent planning and communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills and significant negotiation experience
