About Us

Two Circles is a data-driven sports marketing business. We work with the world's biggest sports organisations - including the NFL, Premier League, Formula 1, Wimbledon and UEFA - and have four times been named Sport Industry Agency of the Year.

We have over 1000 Two Circlers across the globe, operating in eight cities across three core regions (LA, Kansas City, Miami, NYC, London, Bern, Paris and Melbourne). Include Tech focused regions - APAC, EMEA and America's.

As part of our continued growth, we are recruiting an Engineering Director, EMEA to lead our digital engineering capability across the region. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for building and managing engineering teams, ensuring delivery discipline, and driving scalable digital solutions for our clients. You will also play an active role in shaping our global technology alignment, collaborating with peers in other regions to ensure consistent ways of working and shared best practice across Two Circles.

Role Overview

The Engineering Director, EMEA will lead the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle across the region, ensuring our teams deliver with clarity, quality, and pace. You will be hands-on in engineering management — owning resourcing, delivery frameworks, and SDLC processes.

This is a highly visible role: you will represent engineering within the EMEA region, partner with Product, Solution Architecture, Delivery Management and Technical Operations squads to shape cross-capability ways of working, and contribute to the global approach to ensure our engineering practice is aligned worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the EMEA digital engineering team, building and retaining a high-performing squad. Promote a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and manage resourcing across EMEA and collaborate on cross-regional needs to deliver at scale.
  • Mentor and develop engineering leaders and managers in the region, embedding progression frameworks and structured feedback.
  • Own the engineering SDLC across EMEA projects, implementing consistent delivery processes that drive quality and predictability.
  • Establish transparent effort sizing and estimation to improve roadmap planning and manage client expectations.
  • Oversee QA and release management standards across EMEA builds.
  • Drive continuous improvement, using feedback and performance insights to evolve ways of working.
  • Define and communicate engineering needs from Product, Solution Architecture, Delivery Management and Technical Operations to succeed.
  • Shape effective cross-squad delivery models within EMEA and ensure upward visibility for leadership and downward clarity for teams on priorities and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with global peers to align standards, share learnings, and contribute to global technology strategy and ways of working.
  • Provide governance on technical standards and architectural approaches, empowering Tech Leads and Architects to own solutions.
  • Champion scalable, reusable approaches to accelerate delivery. Advocate for AI and modern tools that improve engineering efficiency and developer experience.
  • Be a confident, resilient leader, influencing senior stakeholders and representing engineering in key forums within EMEA and globally.
  • Shape a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture that balances delivery pace with team wellbeing and operates effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Attributes

Must-Haves

  • Proven senior leadership experience in digital engineering management at scale, including experience of a multi-region operating model
  • Hands-on ownership of SDLC, delivery processes, resourcing, and talent management
  • Strong emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to influence senior peers and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication abilities, capable of leading and inspiring teams and engaging effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience in the digital engineering space, developing customer/fan-facing solutions at scale

Nice-to-Haves

  • Technical background in architecture or coding with modern languages, frameworks, cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure), and understanding of CMS, Identity Solutions, Video, CRM, and e-commerce strategies
  • Familiarity with sports & entertainment
  • Experience in both startup-style and enterprise-scale environments
  • Interest in AI-enabled development practices

What We're Looking For

We want a strategic, high-energy leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, shapes culture, and brings clarity and structure to fast-growing teams. You should be comfortable resolving delivery bottlenecks within EMEA and representing the region in global forums to ensure alignment across Two Circles.

At Two Circles, we recruit for energy, values, and commitment as much as for skills and experience. If you're excited to shape the future of sports technology and build a best-in-class regional engineering capability with global impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Benefits

Two Circles is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

We value and want to have all types of candidates apply for roles at Two Circles. Therefore, we would love for you to fill out the Equality & Diversity Monitoring Form as part of your application. This form does not ask for your name or information that would make you personally identifiable.
