Role: Director, Digital Transformation (Product). Location: UK, London. Job type: Full time, Permanent – Hybrid. This position offers a hybrid work model, with 4 days in the office per week.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the transformation of how QS engages students across multiple channels, including digital platforms, online communities, and partner integrations.
  • Build student-focused digital solutions that drive engagement, conversion, and revenue partnerships with institutions (not student fees).

Key Skills And Experience

  • Track record of taking digital products from concept to profitability.

  • Understanding of AI’s impact on search, discovery, and conversion.
  • Solid grasp of key technologies, architectures, and integration approaches, enabling effective collaboration with technical teams.
  • Ability to translate engagement into measurable revenue through institutional partnerships.
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Role responsibilities

  • Product vision, strategy and roadmap: Define and execute a digital strategy that scales student engagement and drives institutional conversions; maintain a clear product vision and multi-quarter roadmap; own the end-to-end student experience from engagement to enrolment across QS channels and platforms; build, launch, and scale products informed by market trends, competitor analysis and user insights; apply scalable platform thinking for future growth and integrations; ensure compliance with legal, data privacy, and ethical AI standards.
  • Product discovery and market insight: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and user interviews to rapidly validate ideas; identify high-value student segments; safeguard datasets while maximizing AI-influenced search opportunities; establish innovation pipelines for rapid prototyping and commercialisation; ensure accessibility and localisation in designs.
  • Planning, prioritisation and execution: Define distinct QS student experience; manage a data-driven prioritisation process; implement agile frameworks to improve delivery speed and quality; manage budgets and resources; oversee back-end systems and integrations with partner institutions; drive delivery excellence across releases and QA.
  • Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement: Lead the Candidate Engagement senior leadership group with end-to-end student experience; mentor product managers; align with marketing, sales, operations and engineering through updates and workshops; build a strong product culture and coach PM talent.
  • Metrics, measurement and continuous improvement: Establish success criteria; track key metrics; use analytics and experimentation to drive decisions; coordinate go-to-market planning, launches, and post-launch analysis; manage risks and lifecycle from ideation to retirement of underperforming features; tie product outcomes to ROI and monetisation strategies.
