Job Summary

We're Hiring: Director of Emerging and Developing Markets - Marco Sales Trading.

We are seeking a Director of Investor Sales with a strong focus on emerging and developing markets. This is a senior client-facing role, engaging primarily with hedge funds and asset managers, where you will be responsible for originating and delivering strategic macro trade ideas - from generation through to execution.

What we're looking for:
5-10 years' experience in a client-facing macro sales role
Deep understanding of financial markets and emerging markets dynamics
Proven ability to generate and deliver strategic, tradable ideas
Strong skills in cross-asset correlation, scenario analysis, and strategic thinking
Excellent prioritisation and client engagement skills

Key Responsibilities

• To develop the Bank's relationships with Clients through marketing and sales of Financial Market products covered by the Investor Sales desk
• Enable Business Growth by strong engagement with Product offering and coverage of Investor Clients
• Partner with key internal stakeholders including Trading, Structuring and Risk Teams
• Ensure adherence and compliance to Regulatory standards of Trade Capture and booking models
• Support Junior Talent on the desk and nurture developments

Strategy
• Diligent coverage of the daily flow business, meeting all required standards and procedures
• Lead initiatives to enhance Cross-Asset and Cross-Border collaboration, ensuring integration of Products & Services for clients whilst maximising returns
• Drive the client engagement for RWA optimisation to improve the overall FM product RoRWA

Business
• Achieving assigned full year budget as per annual Year End Review document for Client Income from allocated Client Accounts
• Within this budget, aim to generate specific Financial Markets Product mix as per Year End Review Document
• Help mentor and develop a high-performing Financial Markets team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous learning

Processes
• The role will involve liaising with clients and executing trades and orders in line with SCB's policy and procedures consistent with all FM Sales staff globally including Order Handling , Record Keeping and Best Execution
• Accountable for ensuring appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructures are in place to enable the business processes to be efficient, appropriate and compliant with internal policies, procedures, codes and applicable external laws and regulations
• Monitor the utilization of each client's trading limits with SCB, obtain specific approval for any excess likely to arise as a result of a particular transaction
• Maintain an updated account plan for Financial Markets products for each client. Use to identify potential relationship growth areas and create action plans for addressing opportunities accordingly.

People & Talent
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, lead internal workshops and seminars, encourage team participation in innovation initiatives

Governance
• Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Willingness to 'speak up' in the event of any realised or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues
Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
