The role is a fantastic opportunity for a senior finance professional to partner with members of the FTSE Russell leadership team, one of the LSEG business divisions and a significant player in the Index and Benchmark industry.This is a fixed-term contract role for a minimum of six months.The role will have end to end financial responsibility for the Sustainable business unit, working collaboratively with the business and finance teams to partner with business leaders. The role will also have responsibility for the overall cost base of FTSE Russell. This is a significant financial leadership role which requires a dedicated and experienced finance business partner who can work closely with the business leadership to shape the future of the business and motivate change.Coupled with a strong financial background, you will demonstrate intellect and curiosity, combined with maturity and the ability to influence effectively across a large matrixed organisation. A proven finance business partner, you must be able to build strong business partnerships and demonstrate the confidence and inter personal skills to challenge decisions and ways of thinking. You will be an effective collaborator and be comfortable making business recommendations to the leadership team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the financial objectives of the business unit as part of the business unit leadership teamDrive and own all aspects of business performance, including Revenue/Sale, Capital Expenditure, OpEx, Headcount, Margin, EBIDTA targetsPartner with the COO to manage the cost base across FTSE Russell and drive all cost initiatives.Lead the financial planning and analysis, monthly business reviews (MBR), budgeting process, track and prioritise capex investments and deliver monthly performance analysisWork collaboratively with Group FP&A, Financial Control, HR, Risk, IR, Ops and Engineering to ensure alignment of support and governance framework.Use underlying trends, critical metrics, future business plans and external market factors to assist with the composition of short-term forecasts, budgets, and business plans.Lead finance support of major projects ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.Put forward commercial ideas supported by analysis to improve business performance.Drive organic investment prioritisation and capital allocation with strong return on investment expectations and tracking to drive accountability.Work with FTSE Russell FP&A to deliver clear driver-based reporting on all costs and activities of the business divisionsEnsure FTSE Russell division is on track to meet operating cost targets, supported by colleagues to track, monitor and control headcount.Partner with the business leads, corporate development and other corporate function teams to deliver financially compelling M&A opportunities as they arise.Finance Leadership Expectations:Be recognised as a leader beyond the specifics of their roleDrive decision making with a data and insight driven approach, ensuring it is aligned to wider business and financial strategiesMaintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of business drivers, bringing thought leadership.
