Join us.Director, Global Markets - Hotels.com UK & FranceAs the Director of Global Markets - UK and France for Hotels.com, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth of two of Expedia Group’s top markets, the UK and France, and its iconic brand, Hotels.com. Your mission is to drive business success by championing local market needs, offering deep insights, advocating for the region, and ensuring our strategies and activations align with real-world local opportunities.In this role, you will:Market Intelligence: Deep understanding of the local travel market, translating these insights into executable market strategies and initiatives that drive growth,Local Strategy & Prioritization: Develop local growth plans in line with the broader Hotels.com strategy and growth targetsMarket Advocacy: Bring market-specific needs into central teams.Local Activation: Propose localized market moments, campaign insights, and relevant activation ideas to drive strategic opportunities or close strategic gapsRegulatory/External Representation: Serve as main local contact with third-party stakeholders and governmental/regulatory bodies.Performance Monitoring: Seek, interpret, and act on market performance data, escalate issues/crises, and propose mitigations.Experience and qualifications:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Marketing.12+ years of experience with a proven track record of successfully growing a large international company in the local UK or French market, ideally in the online retail or travel space.Leadership and Analytical Skills:Experienced people leader who can successfully lead, engage, and develop high-performing teams.Strong analytical skills and exposure to research and analysis techniques.Ability to leverage these analytical skills to extract and compare data from various sources and identify core business issues and opportunities.Ability to approach complex business challenges with a data-driven mindset.Market Knowledge and Collaboration:Deep understanding of the local travel market, translating these insights into executable market strategies and initiatives that drive growth.Proficient in leading, influencing, and mobilizing multiple partners within a dynamic and change-oriented environment.Strong stakeholder management skills: convey information clearly, mobilize towards a common goal, and foster collaboration and alignment across teams.Language Skills:Fluency in English is a must; French is a plusExpedia Group is committed to creating an inclusive work environment with a diverse workforce.
