HR Technology Lead Workday & Digital HR (CHRO Portfolio)
Location: London | Hybrid Role
£130k + bonus & benefits
A global financial services organisation seeking a senior leader to transform and integrate their HR technology estate. Reporting to the Head of Technology and partnering closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), you will champion digital HR across the business.
ROLE PROFILE:
Current HR tech environment is sophisticated but complex and operates a portfolio of systems Workday HCM for core HR, Cornerstone for learning and Gloat for talent mobility and this role needs someone to get them to work together seamlessly.
The CHRO wants real‑time insights, data consistency and a frictionless employee experience. Migrating to the cloud and building an integrated data and integration platform that spans finance, HR and legall.
Your mission will be to align these elements and make HR technology a business success by enabling growth, efficiency, and strategic outcomes.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:
- Shape and execute the digital HR roadmap: modernise the Global HR tech stack, prioritise Workday configuration, and integrate Cornerstone and Gloat with enterprise platforms.
- Own HR data and integration architecture: ensure high‑quality data across systems, develop APIs and interfaces, and align with finance/GC technology to deliver enterprise‑wide insights.
- Drive AI, analytics and automation: identify opportunities to embed AI and analytics into HR
- Lead a cross‑functional team: manage HRIS and digital HR specialists, oversee transformation programmes and champion agile ways of working.
- Manage vendors and costs: maintain strong relationships with Workday, Cornerstone and Gloat, negotiate contracts and ensure value delivery.
- Collaborate across the enterprise: act as the bridge between CHRO, technology and business stakeholders, translating people strategy into technical solutions and ensuring HR technology aligns with broader corporate initiatives.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING:
- Deep HR tech expertise, including hands‑on experience with Workday, learning management (Cornerstone or similar) and talent marketplace platforms.
- Track record in programme delivery—leading multi‑stream HRIS portfolios, integrations and cloud migrations for global organisations.
- Technical acumen in data integration, APIs and cloud platforms, with a focus on unifying disparate systems and improving data quality.
- Strategic vision and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to partner credibly with CHRO, finance, and other senior leaders.
- A passion for digital HR innovation, AI and analytics.
