Insurance Sector Lead – Data & Analytics

We are working with a really cool, specialist data and analytics consultancy serving the insurance and reinsurance underwriting sector. With an impressive and loyal client base, they are now entering a new phase of strategic growth – and are looking to appoint an Insurance Sector Lead to help shape and accelerate that journey.

This is a pivotal senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to influence the firm’s direction while building and scaling a high-value book of business. You will be part of the leadership team stewarding the growth of the firm in its next phase of growth.

About the Role

As Insurance Sector Consulting Lead, you will:

• Set strategy and originate growth – develop trusted 'Functional Head' relationships, shape propositions, and target a £2m+ book of business within three years.
• Harness advanced data & AI – lead the design and delivery of solutions that leverage data strategy, machine learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to transform underwriting, risk assessment, and customer insights.
• Lead and inspire – manage delivery teams, champion innovation, and build a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Shape the firm’s future – play a formative role in the senior leadership team of a business still in its early growth lifecycle.

About You

We are seeking a seasoned leader who can bring:

• Deep expertise in the insurance and reinsurance underwriting sector.
• A strong track record of origination and client relationship development at senior levels.
• Demonstrated experience in data, analytics, and AI/ML applications – ideally with exposure to LLMs and their real-world application in insurance.
• The vision and credibility to influence, inspire, and deliver transformative outcomes.
