We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong.What this job involves:A Director is required to lead the Birmingham Lease Advisory team and support the Regional Lead in the delivery of the business and development plans to achieve the Group’s exciting goals.The primary aspect of the role will involve providing advice to JLL’s investor and occupier clients in connection to rent reviews, lease renewals, lease re-gearing and surrender assignments within the Midlands market. You'll also be able to provide general lease and rental advice to clients and colleagues across the firm.You'll be joining a market leading team of 30 Surveyors based across JLL’s UK office network and have the opportunity to be part of influencing the team’s future growth strategy in the Midlands.What your day-to-day will look like:Actively manage the client base to deliver the financial goals for the Midlands teamUndertake lease advisory assignments commensurate with the roleTarget business development opportunities working with colleagues within the group and other departments of the Birmingham office and wider businessLook at strategic hires to bolster the Birmingham Lease Advisory business and develop the skills and potential of team membersProvide accurate management information to the Head of the Region and Senior Leadership Team of the Lease Advisory GroupDelivering year on year income and growthManage fee negotiations, billings, all team projects and debt recoveryDesired or preferred experience and technical skills:Commercial acumen providing clients with the best solutions having the ability to identify opportunities beyond the immediate client briefAbility to manage timelines and work under pressure to tight deadlinesEngage, support and deal with multiple instructionsAbility to manage clients and colleagues at all levelsStrong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracyStrong negotiation and quantitative skills, including analysis and interpretation of large data setsRequired Skills and Experience:Good working knowledge of the Midlands markets and client base would be preferable but not essentialExperience of rent review, lease re-gear and lease renewal negotiationsExperience of Expert Witness reporting writing is desirable but not essentialEnthusiastic, self-driven and collaborativeAgile, trustworthy, courageous, innovativeJLL is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
