About the Role
Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an accomplished Salesforce Architect at Director level to play a pivotal role in a large-scale transformation programme. This position blends business and solution architecture, requiring an individual who can bridge strategic business needs with robust technical execution.
The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of architecture experience, demonstrating both deep Salesforce expertise and the leadership capability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Acting as a key decision-maker, you will define architecture strategy, lead solution design, and ensure successful delivery across an enterprise-scale Salesforce transformation.
What You’ll Do
- Define and own the Salesforce architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives.
- Translate complex business and underwriting requirements into scalable, best-practice Salesforce solutions.
- Lead end-to-end solution design, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and governance frameworks.
- Oversee system integrations, data flows, and ETL processes in collaboration with Data Architects and technology partners.
- Provide architectural governance and ensure alignment between Salesforce, on-premise, and cloud infrastructure standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders, influencing outcomes in a complex, politically sensitive environment.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to delivery teams, ensuring execution against agreed strategic roadmaps.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
- Salesforce Expertise: Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, workflows, and multi-cloud integrations.
- Architectural Leadership: Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, integration design, and large-scale solution delivery.
- Insurance Domain Knowledge: Proven experience in insurance or underwriting business processes, ideally within the London Market or specialty lines.
- Technical Literacy: Proficient in data architecture, ETL, and integration frameworks; strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to influence, negotiate, and drive consensus at senior leadership levels.
- Delivery Focus: Demonstrated experience leading architecture across major transformation initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 15+ years’ experience in technology architecture, including at least 5 years in Salesforce-focused leadership roles.
- Experience within the insurance sector (London Market or specialty underwriting preferred).
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Salesforce certifications required; CTA certification highly desirable.
