Salary: c£120,000. Camden is a borough with a proud tradition of social action, fairness, and equality. The role leads services that support adults with care and support needs to live safely, independently and well, with focus on prevention, tackling inequalities, and reflecting residents' lived experiences. Responsibilities

Lead the Adults and Health directorate, providing strategic vision, operational delivery, safeguarding, and integrated working. Embed prevention, early help, co-designed, inclusive, empowering, and responsive services. Collaborate across systems and communities to reflect lived experiences and address inequalities. Deputise for the Executive Director of Adults and Health as Camden’s statutory Director of Adult Social Services; be a key member of the senior leadership team and represent the borough regionally and nationally. Lead, develop and empower the workforce with inclusive leadership and anti-racist practice. Maintain high-quality care in line with the council's We Make Camden vision.

Qualifications and experience

Experience in leading adult social care services, including safeguarding, integrated working, and operational delivery. Ability to navigate complexity, build trust, make difficult decisions, and lead with empathy and ambition. Collaborative leadership style and commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Experience in tackling inequality and preventing harm; commitment to inclusive leadership and workforce development.
