We’re now creating the role of Director of Adult Social Care Operations, responsible for ensuring services deliver for Manchester residents every day.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of all ASC services across safeguarding, social work, hospital discharge, reablement, complex needs, day services and supported accommodation.
  • Accountable for safe, effective, person‑centred provision across the city.
  • Inspire a diverse workforce, embed high standards of practice and strengthen performance frameworks.
  • Drive forward integration with health partners through the Manchester Local Care Organisation.

Qualifications

  • Social work qualification.
  • Proven operational leadership in a complex, high‑pressure environment.
  • Resilience to deliver new models of care and support while balancing statutory grip and creativity.
