OverviewLocation: Charnwood Campus, LoughboroughHours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday; flexible working hours.Business Unit: Almac Pharma ServicesRef No.: HRJOB10366The Director of Analytical Operations will provide leadership and governance for Analytical Operations performed at the Charnwood site. They will ensure that the analytical operations department (QC and Analytical Services) has the structure, capacity and capabilities to deliver the needs of internal and external clients. They will also ensure that all activities are conducted in strict compliance with all GxP and regulatory requirements. The post-holder is a key member of the senior management team that sets the strategic direction of the overall Almac Pharma Services business to ensure the company’s development as a market leader in the pharmaceutical industry. ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and governance for Analytical Operations (QC and Analytical Services) at the Charnwood site.Ensure the department has the structure, capacity and capabilities to deliver the needs of internal and external clients.Ensure activities are conducted in strict compliance with all GxP and regulatory requirements.Contribute to the strategic direction of Almac Pharma Services as a member of the senior management team. Essential Candidate CriteriaDegree level qualification in an analytical or chemistry discipline.Significant experience operating at management level in an analytical department.Significant leadership experience.Experience of managing budgets and spend (Capex and Opex).Experience of working in a regulated environment (e.g., GMP or GLP).Proven experience of Operational Excellence. Desirable Candidate CriteriaPostgraduate qualification or equivalent in a related discipline.Experience of pharmaceutical development through commercial supply.Experience of working for clients as a CDMO or equivalent.
