A leading private equity firm focused on financial services is hiring a Director-level AI Strategy Lead to play a critical role in driving AI adoption across its portfolio companies. The role sits within a growing internal AI function, helping to shape, build, and implement AI strategies, particularly around large language models (LLMs), in practical, real-world settings.

You’ll work directly with senior leadership and board-level stakeholders, acting as both a strategic advisor and technical guide. This is a rare opportunity to define how AI is integrated into some of the most innovative businesses in the FS sector.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and lead AI strategies across portfolio companies
• Engage with board-level stakeholders to influence AI adoption
• Oversee implementation of AI systems, including LLMs
• Act as a bridge between strategy, engineering, and product teams
• Provide technical input on Python, cloud infrastructure, and AI tooling
• Contribute to the growth and direction of the internal AI team

What we’re looking for:

• Significant experience in applied AI/ML, with focus on LLMs and cloud
• Strong Python skills
• Proven track record working with executive stakeholders (C-suite or board)
• Background in PE, fintech, consulting, or top-tier tech firm preferred
• Any relevant academic background (AI, data, engineering)
