The Opportunity

Zenobe Energy is expanding its global Asset Management and Operations teams. This Director of Asset Management role covers the UK, Europe, Australia & New Zealand, and North America, supporting our mission to deliver world-class charging solutions that enable the transition to net zero. It is a pivotal leadership position responsible for shaping the systems, processes, and people that underpin the continued maturity of our EV charging business, supporting new market entry, scaling operations internationally, and ensuring operational excellence across the portfolio.

A Taste of the Day to Day

  • Lead and scale the Asset Management team, overseeing recruitment, development, and retention of personnel across multiple geographies.
  • Implement best-practice asset management strategies to optimise long-term commercial and technical performance.
  • Develop and manage business plans, budgets, and capital projects to enhance asset value.
  • Establish and lead an Asset Maintenance team, defining and executing an effective O&M strategy to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
  • Ensure optimal contractor performance during maintenance, ensuring SLAs are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations, power purchase agreements, planning authority requirements, and internal policies.
  • Manage and ensure both commercial and technical compliance with contracts, warranties, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proactively manage portfolio risks, implementing mitigation strategies and reporting issues.
  • Oversee stakeholder reporting, including timely and accurate reports for investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and execute value-accretive initiatives to enhance asset profitability, presenting proposals to the Investment Committee.
  • Collaborate with legal and delivery teams on due diligence for market entry and M&A activity.
  • Ensure operational learnings are captured and integrated into business practices.
  • Lead the development and implementation of ISO 55000-based asset management frameworks.

We are looking for a dynamic leader with a strong background in asset management and infrastructure asset management, ideally in EV charging, transport electrification, or complex renewable energy systems.

Essential Experience

  • Over 10 years’ experience in asset management and O&M of large-scale infrastructure, ideally in EV charging, renewable energy, or transport sectors.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure operations, compliance, and HSE best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and optimise business systems and processes at scale.
  • Commercial acumen with ability to identify and implement strategies to optimise asset performance.
  • Strong stakeholder and contract management expertise.
  • Experience in driving operational excellence across international markets.
  • A recognised Engineering Qualification at Degree level or equivalent financial/technical experience.

Desirable Competencies

  • Knowledge of the North American and Australian energy markets.
  • Chartered membership of the Institute of Asset Management or equivalent.
