About the Role

Position: Director of Corporate & Business Services

Location: Central London (hybrid – at least two days in the office per week)

Contract: Full-time (37 hours/week), Permanent

Organization: CIHT, the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation, seeks an experienced and strategic leader to oversee core operational functions including Finance, HR, IT & Digital, Governance, Compliance, and Facilities.

This leadership role involves working closely with the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to deliver strategic objectives, uphold high standards, and enhance member value.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage financial operations, partnerships, risk, and compliance.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate internally and externally to modernize systems and improve member experience.
• Manage a team, overseeing daily operations and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate will have senior-level experience across Finance, HR, IT, and governance, preferably in a charity, membership organization, or regulated sector. Strong strategic, project management, supplier management, and budgeting skills are essential, along with a collaborative leadership style and excellent communication skills. A commitment to inclusion, integrity, and the organization’s mission is vital.
