Our client is seeking a seasoned Digital Director to join their team on a full-time basis, reporting to the Global Head of Digital.
You will be an ambitious digital / owned media / CX manager looking for promotion and autonomy to do great things.
Background
Our client is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school group designed to inspire students (ages 1 to 18) to achieve their maximum potential. The group has grown exponentially since its founding 12 years ago. 119 schools currently operate across Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, with ongoing expansion foreseen.
The role and opportunity
Permanent, Full time (4 days in the London office per week)
Salary up to £80,000 + Performance Bonus up to 10%
This is a pivotal opportunity to evangelise, test and deliver AI-enabled tools, web products and automated workflows across 119 schools, serving both B2C and B2B audiences.
Your core focus will be to ensure their digital products are continually tested, measured and improved to deliver maximum value. You will be responsible for driving user experience excellence, with particular emphasis on mobile-first design, performance, and technical best practices.
You’ll lead a team of 8 people including digital platform content, CRM, CRO and SEO.
This is a fast-paced role requiring the ability to manage multiple product streams, balance hands-on delivery with strategic oversight, and inspire teams to embrace new tools and ways of working.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Overall product ownership and strategy:
- Define and own the digital product roadmap.
- Align product strategy with business objectives, ensuring scalability and best-in-class digital experiences.
- Translate business needs into actionable product requirements, user stories, and prioritised backlogs.
Key requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in leading data-driven web and digital product development.
- Demonstrated success managing and developing a team.
- Understanding of API-powered (headless) CMS platforms (e.g., Decoupled Drupal, or similar).
- Understanding of user-centric web design and experimentation methodologies.
- Practical understanding of statistics and data analysis.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong soft skills such as problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and adaptability.
Skills that would be an advantage
- Technical skills that include programming proficiency(e.g., Python).
- Practical knowledge of AI context engineering, automation tools, and building AI Agents.
