Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Organisational Development

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a visionary and values-driven leader to join our senior People team as Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Organisational Development (OD). This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering our strategic ambitions for an inclusive, high-performing culture across the Trust. You will lead the development and implementation of our DEI and OD strategies, embedding them into every aspect of organisational life-from recruitment and leadership development to cultural transformation and staff experience.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the delivery of the Trust’s People and Culture Plan and Brilliant People strategy
– Drive cultural transformation and workforce engagement initiatives
– Champion diversity, equity and inclusion across all levels of the organisation
– Lead organisational development programmes and workforce education
– Provide strategic advice to the Chief People Officer, Executive Team and Trust Board
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed inclusive practices
– Manage transformational budgets and ensure value for money
– Role model Trust values and behaviours across the organisation

About you
Essential Criteria:
– Degree-level education or equivalent qualification
– MCIPD qualified or equivalent experience
– Extensive senior-level experience in DEI and OD
– Proven track record of leading cultural transformation
– Strong strategic thinking and interpersonal skills
– Deep understanding of DEI principles and workforce analytics
– Experience influencing at Board level and managing complex change programmes
Desirable Criteria:
– Senior management experience in an NHS Trust
