Are you a visionary engineering leader with a passion for innovation in the marine industry? We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our end-to-end technical function - from taking a concept through development, testing and final product to deliver or upgrade existing products to meet clients or regulatory needs.

The Role

• Shape and deliver our engineering and R&D strategy.
• Lead product development from concept through prototyping, testing, and certification.
• Oversee engineering support for manufacturing and operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Drive innovation in sustainable marine technologies and advanced manufacturing.
• Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing and multidisciplinary team.
• Act as senior technical representative with clients, regulators, and class societies.

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field (Chartered status desirable).
• 10+ years’ experience in product design, engineering, or manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. (preferably in a marine environment)
• Proven track record of delivering full lifecycle projects - from R&D through to production.
• Strong ability to interpret and implement necessary regulatory standards.
• Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and excellent client-facing skills.
